As the credit crunch bites debt issues have become the number one topic of conversation among hard pushed Brits, a new survey has revealed.<br/><br/>A poll by IVA.co.uk of 1,000 Britons aged 16-64 about their credit and debt habits found over a quarter (27 per cent) admitted to talking with friends and relatives about their financial problems. <br/><br/>Divided by gender, women are slightly more open about financial matters, with 28 per cent discussing their problems, compared with 25 per cent of men.<br/><br/>Andy Davie, spokesperson for IVA.co.uk said: "The stigma associated with debt is changing. As more and more Britons struggle with their finances, it’s becoming acceptable to say I have a problem with debt.
